StoryTree are delighted to share the debut issue of our brand new project StoryTree In Conversation!
StoryTree In Conversation offers creatives a chance to publish their writing/artwork, create new work, and engage with other artists.
12 artists submitted writing or artwork for the Prompt Pieces. They then received an anonymous Prompt Piece and created a New Work inspired by it. All of the Prompt Pieces and the New Works are now being published together with reflections from the contributors sharing how the pieces inspired them.
The work features themes of grief, family dysfunction, storytelling, vulnerability, bullying, performativity, and mental and physical pain.
Enjoy and check out our incredibly talented artists!

Reviews
As a contributor, I loved taking part in this project. I had the opportunity to respond to Beth Rose's poem 'lucky cigarette'. Writing my response piece was challenging, thrilling, and really helped me grow as a writer. I hope that Beth and the readers enjoy my New Work, 'The Miners' Ritual'! I also loved seeing how Hoi Sham responded to my poem 'Firewood'. It was exciting to see my work interpreted into a visual medium and I really enjoyed reading Hoi's reflection on his creative process.
So proud to have been part of the first StoryTree in Conversation. It is such a refreshing way to enhance creativity and create a community. Please -- more!
