Events

StoryTree hosts monthly events at The Bungalow in Paisley. Our events typically take place on the third Wednesday of the month and include issue launches, poetry slams, open mics, and creative showcases.

StoryTree's events are a welcoming space for everyone. We have hosted performances from creative powerhouses, like BAFTA Scotland winner Sean Lìonadh and Scottish National Slam Champion Aditya Narayan, to complete beginners sharing their work for the first time!

To keep up to date with our events or inquire about performing connect with us on our social medias or email us at info@storytreepress.co.uk.

StoryTree are dedicated to being a safe and accessible space for everyone, regardless of gender identity, race, sex, ability, etc. If you have any feedback on how we can make our events more suitable for you, please get in touch!

Our Past Events

"The events are such an excellent mix of performers, and having a music act as the backing/feature is a wonderful addition to the scene. The venue is very fun, and its excellent to have something so vibrant happening outside Glasgow and Edinburgh. The community that comes to support the night is excellent, both in terms of the civilians, but also the connection and networking of the poets."

StoryTree Audience Haikus

At our live events, we invite our audience to write us a StoryTree Haiku! Please enjoy some of the haikus from our previous events. Attend our next event to write your own!

A haiku is a poetic form that consists of 17 syllables in a strict 5-7-5 format (5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third).
